The ranks for zero energy buildings in North America grew dramatically from 746 in 2016 to 1,153 in 2017 — a 70% increase. This statistic comes from data collected annually by the Net Zero Energy Coalition (NZEC). If you have designed or built a new zero energy building in 2018, there is still time to add your project to the 2018 inventory. All residential and commercial buildings are eligible for inclusion. Stand up and be counted!
Why submit your project? This year, NZEC will be recognizing top zero energy builders, states, cities, projects, and designers. Everyone’s contributribution to this valuable market data base is essential to its success. The inventory helps build collective knowledge of the industry and aids in marketing zero energy buildings by demonstrating their growing popularity. You can be a part of something big and know your project is among other movement leaders.

Hello,
I have been a home builder much of my life. We also do much of the designing for our clients, although we have frequently built for clients with plans from other designers. In addition to log and timber framed homes, we have built with SIPS panels and ICF forms over the years. Foamed walls is also a standard, as are other energy saving procedures and products we strive to incorporate into every home. We just recently learned of the Zero Energy Ready Homes and we wish to incorporate all of it’s guidelines and elements into each of our future projects as a full tiome advocate and a subscriber to Zero Energy Homes and structures.
I appreciate the excellent resources and guidelines you have set forth on your web site. If this may be something acceptable to you, I would like to recommend and post your web site as a great resource for all to visit and consider. Thank you so much for the great message, focus, and efforts you adhere to.
